Member Meetings

1. Member Meetings

The CEO or lead person in our member organisations will be invited to attend two Members’ Meetings; the AGM & Annual Report launch in the summer, and a review meeting, usually held in January.

The June meeting is part of our consultation process to plan for our pre-Budget submission and next year’s national public consultations. At the January meeting we review the previous year and present the plan for the coming year.

2. Grassroots Forum

Each organisation with Governing Membership is invited to nominate one person with direct experience mental health services, and one relative/partner/friend to participate in the Grassroots Forum.

Participants in the Grassroots Forum contribute to the formation of MHR’s policy positions and assist us in actively engaging stakeholders in campaigns.

3. Policy & Advocacy Members Working Group

This working group provides a space for MHR members and staff to discuss current and planned policy and advocacy work, with a view to working collaboratively.

Meetings are held quarterly and are open to both Governing and Associate members. All member organisations will receive invitations to meetings by email, as well as updates on our ongoing policy and advocacy work.
