Irish Mental Health Coalition to rebrand as Mental Health Reform

The Irish Mental Health Coalition (IMHC) is to rebrand as Mental Health Reform.

The rebrand is to help communicate more clearly that reforming and improving mental health services is at the core of what the organisation is about. The new slogan for the organisation is Campaigning for Improved Mental Health Services.

IMHC Director Orla Barry said that the IMHC name reflected the establishment of the organisation in 2006 as a coalition, but did not describe the role it now plays campaigning for the reform of mental health services from an institutional to a community based model.

Mental Health Reform will launch its Election Manifesto for mental health services next Monday (Feb 14) at the Georgian Suite, Buswells Hotel at 1pm.
