Mental Health Reform in the news about staffing

This week, Mental Health Reform has been calling for clarity from the Government and from the HSE on the staffing of Community Mental Health Teams.

MHR Director, Orla Barry, was on Wednesday’s RTE 9 o’clock news, expressing concern at reports of funding for community mental health being diverted to meet budget overruns within the inpatient mental health services.

In today’s Irish Times online, we again call for a clear statement as to the status of staffing for Community Mental Health Teams, along with a guarantee that staff will be ring-fenced for community mental health and in place by the end of
